About the Club

The team Yenisei (Krasnoyarsk) were founded in autumn, 1934, at the Krasmashvagonstroi factory at the initiative of director A.Subbotin. The team represented Krasmashvagonstroi. In different years the team was named as follows:

Stroitel Vostoka 1934-1938;
Dzerdzinets 1938-1941;
Avangard 1941, 1942;
Zenit 1942-1949;
Metallist 1950-1960;
Yenisei since 1960;

The games are held in the Yenisei stadium.

The team performed in the super league of the national championship in 1960, 1964-2005 (in total 1107 matches: 618 victories, 150 ended in a draw, 339 defeats; 4739-3308 goals).

In the Championships of the USSR in 1960, 1964-1992 (in total 752 matches: 396 victories, 119 ended in a draw, 237 defeats; 2931-2219 goals). The champions of the USSR in 1980-1989, 1991, the second prizewinners in 1990, the third prizewinners in 1978.

In the Championships of Russia (in total 355 matches: 222 victories, 31 ended in a draw, 102 defeats; 1808-1089 goals). The champions of Russia in 2001, the second prizewinners in 1999, 2000, 2003.

In the National Cup Tournaments in 1983-1995, 1997-2002, 2004, 2005 (in total 222 matches: 149 victories, 14 ended in a draw, 39 defeats; 1130-621 goals). In the Cup of the USSR tournaments 1983-1992 (in total 101 matches: 69 victories, 7 ended in a draw, 25 defeats; 558-345 goals). The owners of the Cup of the USSR in 1984, the finalists in 1983, 1985, 1990 and 1992. In the Cup Tournament of Russia (in total 101 matches: 80 victories, 7 ended in a draw, 14 defeats; 572-276 goals).

The team were trained by A.Korotchenko in 1960, 1964-1966, 1968-1972, V.Shevelev in 1967, 1968, 1973 and 1974, V.Kuznetsov in 1968, M.Kuznetsov in 1975, V.Pozdnyakov in 1976, J.Nepomnyashchy in 1977-1984, V.Lomanov in 1985-1987 and 1990-1996, V.Janko in 1988, 1989, S.I.Lomanov in 1997-2005 and Anufrienko since summer 2005. The team were distinguished by high speeds, bright offense, high technique and tactical purposefulness.

The Yenisei club team became champions of Krasnoyarsk Region in 1959, 1962, 1963, 1967, 1975 and 1992, the silver prizewinners in 1974, 1976, 1977, 1984, the bronze prizewinners in 1968, 1969, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, the owners of the Cup of Krasnoyarsk Krai in 1975, 1988 and 1992, the finalists in 1977, 1979, 1985, 1994, 1995, 1997. The team were trained by V.Kulagin, V.Baranov and I.Dvornikov.
