Chidren Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve of Bandy
The abounding in water Yenisei that begins its majestic run from the upper reaches of the Sayansk mountains, gaining gradually its power from numerous inflows - the Biryusa, the Angara, the Upper and the Lower Tunguska - and then, it is dissolved in the waters of the Arctic ocean, thus keeping a water balance on the Earth. In the similar way our Chilren Youth Sports School is accomplishing its mission in Krasnoyarsk Region, Siberia and even abroad. Children Youth Sports School of Russian hockey is a source of gifted sportsmen for hockey clubs in Siberian region!
In the eighteenth century Michael Lomonosov insisted on urgent necessity of establishing the first Russian university (nowadays it is well-known Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov) and empress Elizaveta Petrovna supported that project. Moreover, the scientist insisted on establishing a boarding school for children from all social layers of the society provided they had a thirst for knowledge. Lomonosov used to say," A university without a boarding school is the same as a ploughed field without seeds!"
If there is no Children Youth Sports School as their reserve the Yenisei team of bandy masters can burn out, grow old or simply stop their existence. On a regular basis our school "refuels" the teams with its alumni. And all trainers-teachers, who were on duty and still are, glorified our city with their selfless labor. It is not easy to recognize a would-be talented sportsman in a little boy. Long time and many years of hard work and patience are required to make real professionals from those "seedlings".
The school has always worked in a close cooperation with the super league team Yenisei, the core of which consists of the alumni of this school. Below are trainers-teachers of the school whose alumni became champions of the USSR, Russia, Europe and the World:
